— September 13, 2012

Lilac Hills Ranch announces the release of the Specific Plan Application to the County of San Diego.

Lilac Hills Ranch is a proposed 608-acre mixed use pedestrian oriented community located a quarter-mile east of Interstate 15 at Old Highway 395, in the unincorporated area of north Escondido and east Bonsall.

Lilac Hills Ranch is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle through sustainable features and technology.  This is the perfect place to grow smart and live green.

Preservation of the natural setting with rolling hills, streams and canyons will add to the ambiance that anchors Lilac Hills Ranch to its agricultural roots with avocado and citrus groves throughout.  Seventeen miles of trails will be conveniently located to provide a walking connection from each home to anywhere in the community.

Ranch life will center around the a traditional main street featuring boutique retail with sidewalk cafes, restaurants, a country inn, banquet facilities, a neighborhood grocery store, pharmacy, farmers markets and other commercial amenities not currently available in the area.  Two smaller neighborhood centers located in the middle and southern portions of the community will allow for every resident a walkable destination within 20 minutes, which will promote a small town atmosphere.

Lilac Hills Ranch will be a multi-generation community with homes for everyone from young families to mature adults.  Active senior neighborhoods include a club lifestyle with swimming, aerobics, weight training and tennis options.  Independent, assisted living and Alzheimer care facilities will feature innovative designs to give families housing options for every age.

Lilac Hills Ranch is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle.  Residents can choose to walk the 17 miles of trails, enjoy a picnic within the 20 acres of parks or hike through the 50 acres of groves and orchards.  The community will have something for everyone,” said Jon Rilling, Project Manager, Lilac Hills Ranch.
