Lilac Hills Ranch will be the official name for
 I-15 Sustainable Community

— Accretive Investments, Inc. Press Release, September 17, 2011

Accretive Investments, Inc. today announced the new name for the I-15 Sustainable Community to be “Lilac Hills Ranch.”  The new name was unveiled on signs and banners greeting supporters at a festive celebration and barbeque at Zosa Gardens in Escondido on Saturday, September 17.

“We solicited the opinion of hundreds of our neighbors who have expressed support for the project, and the name Lilac Hills Ranch received nearly unanimous support,” said Randy Goodson, President of Accretive Investments.

“The barbeque was a chance to thank our supporters and to keep them involved in the process to make this community their own.  We are thankful for their continued support to move this project forward and their desire to create smart growth in North San Diego County,” said Jon Rilling, Vice President  of Accretive Investments.

Lilac Hills Ranch, previously known as the I-15 Sustainable Community, received approval from San Diego County in December 2010 to continue its design efforts for the new community located along Interstate 15 at Old Highway 395, north of Escondido.  The Plan Amendment Authorization (PAA) allows the project to proceed with traffic, utility, zoning and related studies.  Lilac Hills Ranch will include various types of residential housing, a school, open space, parks, trails and commercial and retail space.
