Informative: Lilac Hills Ranch Event, July 17, 2013

— July 31, 2013

The well-attended Lilac Hills Ranch Community Outreach event was more informative than anticipated if you ask attendee Joe Beyer.

“The Lilac Hills Ranch team shared valuable details highlighting many of the planned features we can expect to see in the neighborhood.  They spent time answering questions one on one with participants and listened to suggestions,” said Beyer, a nearby Bonsall resident.

“We learn from our neighbors about what is missing in the area.  It’s our job to listen and take this valuable feedback into consideration,” said Jon Rilling, Project Manager for Lilac Hills Ranch.

Attendees were excited about the sustainable design of Lilac Hills Ranch which balances sophisticated technology, amenities and eco-friendly planning to integrate the natural environment. The highlight for many attendees was the street paver exhibit proposed for the interior roads within the Lilac Hills Ranch neighborhood.  The permeable interlocking pavers are environmental friendly and help Lilac Hills Ranch achieve a hydrologically invisible footprint.  Also available were updated maps, plans and renderings illustrating the pedestrian experience by linking the community through a series of trails and pathways that connect neighborhoods to amenities such as the parks, ball fields, community center, Village Center shopping, dining and lifestyle services.

Other guests praised the multi-generational approach which provides a range of housing opportunities for everyone from young families to empty nesters. Senior attendees supported the senior neighborhood and proposed options to make the setting more appealing for them and potentially to others in their generation.

The feedback received at the event was positive.  To submit constructive comments kindly update your personal information online for use by Lilac Hills Ranch as we work forward to create a place to grow smart and live green,
