San Diego County—Household Hazardous Waste, Electronic Waste and Unused Medication Collection Event for residents in the unincorporated areas of North County are scheduled on Saturday, January 7 and March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ingold Sports Park, 2551 Olive Hill Rd., in Fallbrook and Adams Park, 28751 Cole Grade Rd., in Valley Center.

At this event, residents can dispose of hazardous waste including aerosols, all purpose cleaners, antifreeze, auto batteries, auto fluids, latex/oil based paints, pesticides, pool chemicals, solvents, and more. E-Waste items including computers, monitors, fax machines, TVs, cellular and cordless phones, printers and scanners, stereo equipment, VCR and DVD players, fluorescent light bulbs, and common batteries. There is a limit of five TV or computer monitors per vehicle.

Organizers ask that residents leave products in their existing containers if possible and secure lids tightly. This event will not be equipped to accept business waste, tires, ammunition, explosive and or radioactive materials, air conditions or large appliances. Anyone needing to dispose of old medications can drop them off Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 p.m. at the Sheriff’s substation.
